NEW DELHI, April 14 (Xinhua) -- U.S. President Donald Trump and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke by telephone on Tuesday, confirmed the latter in a post on social media.
According to Modi's post on X, the duo discussed bilateral cooperation in various sectors, and also the current situation in the Middle East, stressing the importance of keeping the Strait of Hormuz open.
"Received a call from my friend President Donald Trump. We reviewed the substantial progress achieved in our bilateral cooperation in various sectors. We are committed to further strengthening our Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership in all areas," Modi said. ■
